I was looking at your coasters on market day the ones with lovely animals faces sketched in white on black tile, You asked me what I was looking for anything in particular & so I explained about suddenly losing our boy sibling kitty "Willow" in December just at the age of 6. We were heartbroken, even our vet didn't know why he had died. We were so fortunate that he was found nearby & a man came house to house until my neighbour recognised him & rang us. We were in bits, especially in December when emotions run high anyway. We have always buried our pets in the garden under a rose or the like after living a full life with us, but Willow was part puppy dog part kitty as he played with our dog Ted every day since I bought him home at 8 weeks old. He used to come on the dog walk with us too, all the way, even to the shops.. His sister Luna never brave enough but she would come as far as the little park then hide waiting to join us all & tease Ted by jumping out through hedges on route home.
Anyway Ali you listened to my tearful story then suggested you could do a coaster type memorial in a love heart shape which gave more room for words too & that I could hang it on a hook or bush to where Willow now lays at rest. You asked me to send you 2 photos & just give you a day or two & I wrote some words. You then sent me a proof & said I could make any amendments I wanted. I was totally amazed at how you had captured Willow, his expression, just how I remember him. I couldn't have been more pleased & very impressed at how quickly you came back to me. I picked three plants that will come up every year, planted them placed the black hook & hung the heart. It makes that space Willows & brings back such happy memories of our beautiful big hearted boy.
We couldn't be more pleased Ali, we are so grateful to you for all your help, ideas & skill. We would highly recommend you to anyone finding themselves in a similar place as you truly capture the very spirit as well as the face. Thank you so much Ali, we hope to see you in the market again soon.
